Q: How far in advance can I book a tee time?
A: Members are able to book up to 9 days in advance. Public players can book as far ahead as they wish. This helps our public players be able to make travel plans. But do keep in mind, any tee times booked beyond 9 days in advance are subject to a 10% surcharge.
Q: What is the cancelation policy?
A: We require 24 hours notice for cancelations. Any golfers who do not give us notice and fail to appear will be charged a $50 no-show rate.
Q: How long does a round of 18 holes take?
A: We strive for a 4 hour and 15 minute pace of play. We are typically better than that pace, but there are some busy weekend afternoon that might be a bit longer.
Q: Is there a strict dress code?
A: Arbutus Ridge Golf Club aims to provide a relaxed and contemporary stmosphere for its members and guests through a progressive dress policy.
A neat and tidy attire inspired by the professional tours is expected at all times. For example:
· Hats must be worn as designed
· Denim is not permitted
· Athletic team style attire is not permitted
· Cargos, cut offs, sweats and other obviously non-golf related attire is not permitted
· Any clothing with offensive slogans is not permitted
· For ladies, top must either have a collar or sleeves
It is in our interest to maintain reasonable standards of dress in keeping with golfing traditions on the course.
Q: Do I need my own clubs or can I share a set with my friend?
A: Every golfer must have their own set of clubs while on the golf course for pace of play reasons. We do offer rental sets if you do not have your own set of clubs.
Q: Are power carts mandatory?
A: No, but our golf course is a slightly challenging walk. If you are not used to walking a hilly golf course, we recommend renting a power cart for your overall enjoyingment.
Q: What is “Ready Golf”?
A: It means to be ready to play even though it may not be your turn by the strict sense of the rule. Of course only do so if it is safe.
Q: What is your rain check policy?
A: If you are playing on the the course and it starts raining, our policy is as follows:
· If you finished 5 holes or fewer we will give you an 18 hole rain check
· If you finished more than 6 holes but fewer than 14, we will give you a 9 hole rain check
· We will not issue a rain check, if it is raining when you tee off, or if you play more than 14 holes.
Q: Do I need to book a spot for the driving range?
A: No, our practice facility is first come first serve. It is rare but there are times when the driving range very busy. There is also a covered area that you can use if none of our instructors are using it for lessons.
Q: What are the hours of the Golf Shop?
A: The Golf Shop is open dawn til dusk. The hours will fluctuate through the year.
Q: Do you allow fivesomes?
A: No, the max is four players per tee time.
Q: What are the hours of the restaurant?
A: Currently, our restaurant is open Sunday to Thursday 9 to 5, and 9 to 8 Friday and Saturday.
